"I've never travelled far from home either before I joined Ziggy and the Spiders."

Weird was a down to earth guy who just enjoyed playing his bass guitar and chilling out more than going around the world being thrust into the cameras. Yet, he enjoyed the stage and the atmosphere when playing to a live audience and seeing the others do their thing too.
